1/3 cup mayonnaise (such as Hellmann’s; avoid Miracle Whip)
1/3 cup sour cream
1/3 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup peas
1 cup crushed potato chips
Instructions
Heat the oven to 350°F. Lightly coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Cook the egg noodles according to package directions, reducing the cooking time by about 2 minutes so they remain slightly firm. Drain well and set aside.
In a skillet over medium to medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the diced onion and cook until softened and translucent, stirring occasionally.
