This homemade Apple Cinnamon Bread is soft, buttery, and layered with sweet cinnamon sugar and tender apple pieces. Every slice features a beautiful cinnamon swirl and plenty of fresh apple flavor, making it perfect for breakfast, dessert, or an afternoon snack.
In a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, beat the white sugar and softened butter until smooth and creamy.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract, then continue mixing on medium speed until fully combined.
Mix in the flour and baking powder, then add the milk and stir until the batter is smooth.
Spread half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Scatter half of the chopped apples over the batter.
Gently press the apples into the batter using the back of a spoon.
Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the apples.
Spoon the remaining batter on top, then add the rest of the chopped apples followed by the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture.
Lightly press the topping into the batter with the back of a large spoon. Holding a butter knife vertically, gently swirl the batter in figure-eight motions to lightly blend the cinnamon topping throughout the loaf.
Bake for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
