Notes

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp oil olive, avocado or vegetable
  • 1 large red bell pepper cut into thin strips
  • 1 large green bell pepper cut into thin strips
  • 2 lbs flank steak cut into thin strips
Stir Fry Sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves pressed
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp corn starch

Instructions

  1. Combine all of the sauce ingredients in a small bowl, whisking until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Heat a wok or large skillet over medium heat with the oil. Add the sliced bell peppers and sauté until lightly browned, about 3 minutes. Transfer the peppers to a plate and reserve.
  3. Increase the heat to high. Add the beef strips to the pan and cook until nicely browned.
  4. Return the bell peppers to the pan, then pour in the prepared sauce. Continue cooking for 2–4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the steak and vegetables.
  5. Remove from the heat and serve with your favorite grain or noodles.
